(Dot Saunders making a difference)

“We can all be angels to one another. We can choose to obey the still, small stirring within, the little whisper that says, ‘Go. Ask. Reach Out. Be an answer to someone’s plea. You have a part to play. Have faith.’ We can decide to risk that He is indeed there, watching, caring, cherishing us as we love and accept love. The world will be a better place for it. And wherever they are, the angels will dance.”

Making a Difference . . . Reaching Out. This is the theme that the Stewardship Committee has adopted for 2011-12. Stewardship involves the wise and heartfelt use of our time, talents, and resources. Through video vignettes, personal testimonies, newsletter articles, and our web page, we’ll be sharing stories of how people in our congregation are reaching out to change the lives of others. You’ll also hear from people who have received those gifts and what a difference it has made to them.
We can all reach out, in even the smallest ways, to make the world a better place. Offer a ride to someone who can no longer drive; sweep your neighbor’s sidewalk while you’re doing your own; send a card of make an encouraging call to a person in distress; help pack lunches for the Men’s Shelter; drop off a case or two of water for the homeless at one of the City’s donation centers. Volunteer to serve on one of the church’s many committees.
Use and act on your imagination to make the world a better place. Wherever they are, the angels will dance.
How can I make a difference and become a good steward?
How do I share my time and talents?
How do I help fund the ministries and missions that are in the church's vision?
